| Notes | Ballad is entirely handwritten. This ballad is composed of various lines from "The Mad-mans Morrice: / OR, / A warning for Young men to have a care, / How they in Love intangled are: / Wherein (by experience) you shall find, / His trouble and grief, with discontent of mind." One printed version among many can be seen at EBBA 31960. Pasted on the same sheet as EBBA 36109, "[Alas poore scholler] / whither wilt thou goe / OR / [st]range altrations which at this time be / there's many did thinke they never should see" |
