British Library - Roxburghe

This tab features woodblock impressions from the ballad sheet. These images have been cropped from the original sheet and, in some cases, annotators have tagged their contents following a taxonomy that includes broader generic categories as well as specific objects. Using a custom suite of computer vision programs called Archive-Vision, we have further linked woodcut impressions on one ballad sheet to similar impressions on other ballad sheets. Together, these impressions form a "cluster". Other impressions in a cluster are presented at the bottom of each entry on this page; if there are more than eight similar images in the cluster, see the entire cluster by clicking "view all similar images".

A network graph of all woodcut impression clusters is also viewable here.
