A Well-wishing to a place of Pleasure.
To an excellent new tune.

S Ee the building,
where whilest my mistris lived in,
was pleasures essence,
See how it droopeth,
And how nakedly it looketh
without her presence:
Every creature
That appertaines to nature,
'bout this house living,
Doth resemble,
If not dissemble,
due praises giving.
Harke, how the hollow
Windes doe blow,
and seeme to murmur,
in every corner,
for her long absence:
The which doth plainely show
The causes why I doe now
All this griefe and sorrow shew.

See the Garden,
Where I receiv'd reward in,
for my true love:
Behold those graces,
Where I receiv'd those graces,
the Gods might move:
The Queene of plenty
With all the fruits are dainty
delights to please.

Flora springing,
Is ever bringing
Dame Venus ease,
Oh, see the Arbour where that she
with melting kisses
distilling blisses,
From her true selfe,
with joy did ravish me.
The pretty Nightingale
did sing melodiously.

Haile to those Groves,
Where I injoyde those loves
so many daies:
Let the flowers be springing
And sweet birds ever singing
their Roundelaies.
Many Cupids measures,
As cause for true loves pleasures,
be danc'd around.
Let all contentment
For mirths presentment,
this day be found:
And may the grasse grow ever greene,
where we two lying,
have oft beene trying
More severall wayes
then Beauties lovely Queene,
When she in bed with Mars
by all the Gods was seene.Finis
